Peaceful Cove

Peaceful Cove

Today’s image was taken along the Marginal Way in Ogunquit, ME.  As I mentioned the other day, Bob Lussier and I were there last week to help a friend teach a photography workshop.  It started in the afternoon, but I decided to head up early to do some sunrise shooting and spend the whole day.  I was once again treated with another cloudless sunrise, so I decided to minimize the sky as much as possible, and play with some long exposures of the gentle waves over the rocks.

Love this! Soft, but dark. Wonderfully composed! Good stuff Steve!

Love this shot and the last Steve – had to check you out after your clever comment on Edith’s Mission photo LOL! Coincidentally I was just in Ogunquit for the first time last week. Posted about it here: http://travelsandtrifles.wordpress.com/2013/08/17/weekly-challenge-carefree-a-maine-event-lobstah-and-lighthouses/ . My last 2 shots were on Marginal Way, which I loved. Hope to get back some day when the tourists have gone home !!!

Thanks so much for the visit and comments Tina. Ogunquit is one of my favorite places to visit and photograph, and I really liked the images you posted from your trip to Maine.

Dark and mysterious. The detail in the shadow area at the foot of the image is what commands my attention. Superb processing, Steven
