This is the fish shack at the Maritime Gloucester Center.  There’s so much to explore there, and it also boasts views of the U.S. Coast Guard Station, Ten Pound Island, Rocky Neck, the State Fish Pier, as well as a variety of ships around Gloucester Harbor.  On this day, I was focusing mostly on finding things right on the main dock to shoot as opposed to the wide angle views of the surrounding area (although I’ll certainly be back to do that as well). This shack was full of character and detail, and I thought the bouys hanging on the wall made a nice focal point for the shot.

Love the look of this shack with it’s weathered wood. Nicely composed, too. Awesome and dramatic sky.
